SPOLCHEMIE is among the top 5% of companies in sustainability according to the EcoVadis rating

SPOLCHEMIE announced today that it has been awarded a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, the worlds’ most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. This is the 8th year in a row that the company has earned a medal from EcoVadis. “In this year’s rating, SPOLCHEMIE scored 78, which places us, for the first time, among the top 5 percent of companies globally and among the best 2 percent in the sector,” commented the company’s CEO Daniel Tamchyna. The total number of the rated company exceeds 130,000. Our highest performing sustainability assessment areas were Environment, Labor & Human Rights, and Ethics.

This is an important award for our company and an important aspect of our ongoing efforts to be more sustainable. The EcoVadis rating validates and demonstrates our sustainability commitments, practices, and performance, and offers a clear roadmap for how we can continue to increase our impact over time.

The EcoVadis assessment places us among the top sustainable players in the global chemical industry. The EcoVadis assessment covers 21 sustainability criteria across four core topics: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis compares companies´ performance in their sector. SPOLCHEMIE is involved and assessed in the sector of Manufacture of basic chemicals, fertilizers and nitrogen compounds, plastics and synthetic rubber in industry.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. The EcoVadis rating is based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidence-based analysis of performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
